Our interlocking tatami mats are designed to provide maximum protection during martial arts practice, contact sports, gymnastics, yoga, and other sports activities that require a safe, cushioned surface, perfect for absorbing falls and insulating from direct contact with the floor.

Embossing: A fundamental element of the tatami

The surface design of the tatami is essential to ensure its full functionality. The embossing must provide the right grip, preventing slips, without being uncomfortable for the practitioner. Our experience has led us to choose:

  • Rice Straw Embossing (4 cm thickness): Ideal for disciplines that involve ground fighting, as it does not irritate the skin and ensures comfort during prolonged contact.
  • Cross Embossing (2 cm thickness): Perfect for disciplines characterized by kicking techniques, thanks to the optimal grip that provides stability to the supporting foot.

The Interlocking System

Our tatami features a reversible dovetail interlocking system that allows the pieces to be assembled on both sides, creating customized surfaces to suit specific needs.

The interlocking system includes nine dovetail joints per side, fewer than traditional tatami mats available on the market.

This solution, the result of our expertise, ensures greater surface stability once laid and minimizes – or even eliminates – the risk of the pieces coming apart, thus preventing potential hazards for those practicing on the tatami.

Finishing Edges

Each tatami mat comes with two finishing edges (each one meter long) designed to cover the dovetail joints along the outer perimeter.

Traditional Tatami, Including IJF Approved Models

Upon request, we provide traditional tatami mats with a thickness of 4 cm and 5 cm, available in 1×1 m and 2×1 m formats. Unlike interlocking tatami made of expanded foam, traditional tatami consist of a slab of bonded rubber covered with a vinyl layer embossed with a rice straw pattern. The base is coated with an anti-slip material to ensure maximum stability during use. IJF (International Judo Federation) approved traditional tatami, ideal for official competitions, are also available upon request.

WKF Approved Tatami

Upon request, for a minimum order of 100 pieces, we provide quotes for Progame tatami supplies approved by the World Karate Federation. The Progame Green WKF tatami is made of polyethylene derived from sugarcane waste and has the standard dimensions of 100×100×2 cm. It comes with the official WKF (World Karate Federation) certification, meeting the required standards for international competitions.

Rubber Compound Tiles

Our rubber compound tiles are available in different thicknesses and with various grain sizes, designed to withstand the stresses of areas dedicated to CrossFit, weightlifting, and machinery. Terms for Uploading Images, Logos and Graphic Files

By uploading an image, logo or other graphic file for product customization, the customer declares that they are the owner of the relevant rights or that they have obtained all necessary authorizations for its use.

The customer further declares that the uploaded file does not infringe any copyrights, registered trademarks, image rights, privacy rights, intellectual property rights or any other third-party rights. If the file contains images, names, logos, emblems, symbols, photographs or elements attributable to persons, companies, associations, organizations, federations, sports groups or other third parties, the customer confirms that they have obtained all necessary authorizations for their use.

The uploaded file will be used by Oriente Sport exclusively for the production of the requested customization and for the technical activities strictly connected with the processing of the order. Oriente Sport may make any technical adaptations to the file, such as resizing, cropping, format conversion or other changes necessary for production, without altering its substantial content.

Oriente Sport does not acquire any ownership rights over the content uploaded by the customer and will not use the file for advertising, promotional or other purposes unrelated to the processing of the order, unless otherwise authorized.
The customer is responsible for the quality, legibility and technical suitability of the uploaded file. Any non-optimal results due to low-quality files, insufficient resolution, incorrect proportions or graphics unsuitable for processing may not be attributed to Oriente Sport, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Oriente Sport reserves the right to refuse files that are unsuitable, of insufficient quality, offensive, unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, contrary to accepted standards of decency or potentially harmful to third-party rights.

The customer assumes full responsibility for the content of the uploaded file and for its use for the requested customization. The customer also undertakes to indemnify and hold Oriente Sport harmless from any claim, dispute, damage, cost or demand made by third parties in relation to the uploaded file or to the customization created using that file.

The customer acknowledges that products made to order, personalized or produced according to the customer’s specific instructions are excluded from the right of withdrawal.
